Frequently Asked Questions

We train for every possible situation. We are physically prepared for anything. Capturing the Load is designed to help you be prepared not just physically but mentally—so you can be the person others need you to be.

Anonymous data submitted by course participants tells us two important things. First, the majority of first responders feel their current mental health training is inadequate. Second, the majority of first responders feel that their work has a significant impact on their mental health, with one in three of those individuals claiming that mental health challenges have made it difficult to do their job.

Our courses are designed to help address this important issue in a way that is accessible for the individual and affordable for the department. Our primary goal is to partner with you to help serve those who are serving our communities.

Oftentimes preconceived notions about mental health education can lead individuals to not engage in this kind of education when in groups. Since On the Job and Off courses are taken individually, online courses allow each participant to engage without the social pressure that can come when learning in groups.
